  • 2 cups milk or almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 heart-shaped sugar cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Add the rolled oats, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy.
  3. Remove the oatmeal from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup to sweeten.
  4. Pour the oatmeal into a serving bowl.
  5. Top with crushed heart-shaped sugar cookies, fresh strawberries, raspberries, chopped walnuts, and chia seeds if using.
