Maple Carrot Fries

Maple Carrot Fries are a naturally sweet and crispy alternative to traditional fries, baked to perfection with a hint of warm maple syrup and spices. Perfect as a healthy snack or a vibrant side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into fry-sized sticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the carrot sticks with olive oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the carrots in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they’re not overcrowded.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the carrots are tender and edges are caramelized and crispy.
  5. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak carrot sticks in cold water for 30 minutes before drying and seasoning to remove excess starch.
