Juicy hamburger steaks served with a rich and creamy dill sauce, perfect for a comforting and flavorful meal that’s quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, add beef broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and fresh dill. Cook gently until sauce is heated through, but do not boil.
  6. Return the hamburger steaks to the skillet, spoon sauce over them and warm for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve the hamburger steaks topped with creamy dill sauce and enjoy.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables, and garnish with additional fresh dill if desired.
