Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional for crisping)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken wings into the crockpot in an even layer.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the buffalo wing sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the wings, tossing to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the wings are fully cooked and tender.
  5. Optional: For crispy skin, preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place wings on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, broil the cooked wings for a few minutes after crockpot cooking, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.
