Cookie Croissant

A delightful fusion of flaky croissant layers filled with gooey cookie dough, creating a decadent pastry perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry or croissant dough
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the croissant dough on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the dough into triangles, similar to croissant shapes.
  4. Place a tablespoon of cookie dough at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the dough from the wide end to the tip, encasing the cookie dough inside.
  6. Place the rolled croissants on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush each croissant with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra indulgence, drizzle with melted chocolate or serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
