Blackened Steak Shrimp Alfredo

A rich and flavorful dish combining tender blackened steak and shrimp in a creamy Alfredo sauce served over fettuccine pasta, perfect for a decadent dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 8 oz flank steak
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun blackening seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak and shrimp evenly with blackening seasoning on all sides.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove steak and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and cook shrimp 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce is smooth and thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Season Alfredo sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Add cooked pasta, sliced steak, and shrimp to the sauce. Toss gently to combine and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the blackening seasoning or garnish with sliced jalapeños.
